Le Mont Saint-Michel takes claim to being the birthplace of crepes. This is where our founder found his inspiration. On a warm fall morning, crepe chefs were prepping for the day at their crepery perched on the cliff of Mont St. Michelle. Using whisks and bowls as musical instruments, singing rhythmic hymns, they were not just making crepe batter, but rather they were entertaining locals with a performance. It wasn't just batter, it was the "batta!" Wanting to share this experience we have taken the "batta" from Le Mont Saint-Michel and created Mobatta. Here, everyone can experience the art and theater of crepe making!
